BUILDING THE ALL-DOMAIN FORCE

SEPTEMBER 25 | 2:00 PM EST

THIS EVENT HAS CONCLUDED

As warfare continues to evolve, the U.S. military must have offensive and defensive capabilities across all domains: land, air, sea, space and cyber. Tying all of those capabilities together into a truly integrated force is a big challenge, but the benefits from real-time data sharing, a comprehensive picture of the battlefield and speed of action mean that the U.S. must build a data infrastructure that supports integrated warfare. Interoperability must be the foundation of these efforts, as having to go through a middleman to get information from troops on the ground to naval or air forces runs the risk of delays in actionable intelligence and missed opportunities. In addition, data must be protected and trustworthy, and tools such as artificial intelligence/machine learning and open systems will play a critical role in ensuring that data is collected, analyzed and disseminated quickly enough to maintain information dominance.

In this webcast, Defense News examines the challenges of an all-domain defense strategy, including streamlined communications between forces, data infrastructure needs and true interoperability between all forces across all domains.
