SCALING MISSILE PRODUCTION

AUGUST 18 | 12:00 PM EST

Recent events in the Middle East have underscored the central role of missiles and missile defense systems in modern conflict. Since the start of Operation Epic Fury, Iran has launched hundreds of ballistic missiles and thousands of drones across the region, targeting U.S. forces and regional partners. Interception operations and counterstrikes have further strained missile inventories and exposed the limits of the industrial base required to sustain them.

In this webcast, Defense News will convene a panel of experts to examine what it actually takes to scale missile production in today’s security environment. Panelists will explore the supplier ecosystem that supports prime contractors and missile programs, with a focus on the specialized component providers that enable production capacity, reliability, and rapid replenishment. The discussion will address where bottlenecks typically emerge across the supply chain, how trusted suppliers reduce risk and compress timelines, and what investment and operational changes are needed to expand output without compromising performance in mission-critical systems.
