Kenneth Bray is a member of the Defense Intelligence Senior Executive Service and is the Acting Associate Deputy Chief of Staff for Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance, Headquarters US Air Force, Pentagon, Washington, D.C. He is responsible to the Secretary and Chief of Staff of the Air Force for policy formulation, planning, evaluation, oversight and leadership of Air Force ISR capabilities; force development of more than 25,000 ISR Total Force Airmen and integration of Air Force ISR planning with the national intelligence community.
Mr. Bray is a native of New Bern, N.C., and entered the Air Force in 1981 after graduating from the U.S. Air Force Academy. He received his pilot wings in 1982 and served as a T-37 instructor pilot and later as a U-2/TR-1 command pilot. He flew operational and combat missions in the European and Central Command Theaters and has more than 3,000 military flight hours. Prior to this assignment, he was the Associate Director for Intelligence, Headquarters Air Combat Command. Other assignments included staff tours with Strategic Air Command, Air Combat Command, Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Acquisition, Deputy Chief of Staff for Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance, and Under Secretary of Defense, for Intelligence.
